Sky Scoop NIHE Home Energy Award - Most Energy Efficient New Build Scheme

Sky Developments have scooped a prestigious Northern Ireland Housing Executive Home Energy Award. Co-winners with the Carvill Group for the award for 'Most Energy Efficient New Build Scheme', Sky's directors, Stephen McCready & Alan Johnston, were delighted to accept the award from the Social Development Minister, Margaret Ritchie MLA , NIHE Chairman, Brian Rowntree, and representatives of the category's sponsors, Northern Ireland Electricity and The Energy Saving Trust.

The award ceremony, part of the NIHE Housing Forum, was held at The Stormont Hotel, Belfast, and the range of award categories recognised and rewarded good practice and excellence in delivering energy efficiency within the domestic housing sector.

After accepting the award, Stephen McCready of Sky Developments commented: "It is a great honour to receive this prestigious accolade from such an important and vital organisation. At Sky, we have been working tirelessly to provide working solutions to the growing problems of fuel poverty and energy wastage. The GreenHouse in Holywood, our carbon zero home, is an example of what can be achieved and we are delighted with the recognition we have received today. I would also like to congratulate our co-winners, the Carvill Group - we are pleased to share a platform with a company that has made such a positive impact in energy efficient construction."

Other category winners at the awards included Hearth Housing Association, Northern Ireland Energy Agency & Creggan Country Park Enterprises Ltd.
